Sideshow Freaks, Lost Lovers, Fake Royalty, Dancing Horses and a Real Flea Circus
Invade the Napa Valley ... "PASTICHE!"

"PASTICHE!" a new, original musical premiering at the Tucker Farm Center is a tasty recipe of comedy, fun and mayhem. Mix up a batch of sideshow freaks, add in some big time carnival performers, a medicine show, stir in a dancing horse, tap-dancing Siamese twins, a sensuous snake dancer and beautiful, young tightrope walker and you have a recipe for success. … and did we mention the Argentinean tango dancers?

Carnival Pastiche is a second-rate, small time carnival show that has seen better days. A fake Hungarian countess sits at the helm of this posse of misfits and miscreants comprised of sideshow attractions, singers, dancers, gypsies and dreamers. When things seem to be grim, some competition shows up and the situation gets interesting. Some of the characters are based on real performers that were featured in John Lennon’s song “Being for the Benefit for Mr. Kite” which was about world renowned performer, Pablo Fanque.

On Saturday night May 22nd, there will be a very special performance prior to the show by a real carnival performer, Jerry Barrilleaux with his amazing "Professor B’s Flea Circus" at 7:30 p.m. It will be included in the ticket price and should not be missed.

Professor B has been training fleas from around the world for many years and has put together the most amazing congress of unusual acts you have ever seen. Don’t miss: The world's only Rock 'n' Roll Flea - Elvis Presflea; Fifi, the Parisian high wire walker; The world's only Mind-Reading Flea!; and not to be outdone … a flea-powered carousel entirely propelled by the strength of two amazing fleas!

A silent auction will be held on Saturday, May 29 prior to the show which will includes donations from The Orchard at Carneros, artist Daniel Brooks, The Ledson Family, Rutherford Hill, Swanson Vineyards, and a special package from Carlos Santana.

Pastiche! is the second of several fund-raising efforts for the Tucker Farm Center and Theater Arts Revival (TAR). Both of these organizations are dedicated to improving and expanding the arts programs to the residents of the Upper Valley.

The Tucker Farm Center is at 1201 Tucker Road, located on Highway 29 just past Bothe Napa State Park.
